Sunday 10 Miler in Athens

The weekend just isn't complete without the Sunday morning 10 miler in Athens. There were 7 folks who showed up today, but Mike had to drop out because of tightness in his calf. Thanks to the Madison Co. folks for driving over to join our running group.

We also had a new guy, Lee, join us today. He's a good bit faster than me, but enjoyed the run today. He said he'd be back.

I drove there instead of running this morning because I was a little late getting started and I was still a bit tired from yesterday's 20- miler. Carl, Lee, Lanier, and I were in the lead pack this morning. We started slow, but finished strong to do the 10 miles in 1:13:44. for about a 7:22 average pace. Carl and Lee certainly were stronger than me at the end. I didn't get the feeling they were nearly as glad to be finished as I was!
