I met the group in Athens for our usual Sunday morning 10 miler. It has become more of a 13-14 miler for me. There were 10 runners there today, and some who had missed a few in a row showed up today. This is a really good group of folks. I absolutely look forward to this run every week.
I didn't stay with the lead pack today. The leaders were Mike, Carl, and Matt. It did cross my mind, but I decided to go a little easier today. Scott and I hung back at about an 8:15 pace. That pace felt pretty good after yesterday's pretty hard race effort. I was tired at the end and probably only could have run another 2 or 3 miles.
I'm still keeping the circle on Cotton Row Run 10k. That's the race I'm training for.
