Look me up when you come back to Rocket City. I get to Atlanta a few times per year. Hit me on Facebook (badge is on the blog) and we can meet up and run when I'm there again.

I'm really glad you enjoyed your time in Huntsville.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12349682601677809433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7737587279120391681.post-55006778173840321472011-12-18T19:03:26.131-06:002011-12-18T19:03:26.131-06:00Eric - Nice writeup of your experience! It was great to get to meet you right before the race (while I was searching for the 3:10 group), particularly since this blog was one of the reasons I chose Huntsville as my first marathon.

It was a very organized event. I was impressed with everything including Friday check-in, the host hotel, the pasta dinner guest speaker (Dick Beasley!), race morning, and the post race events and food.

I was able to pull a 3:09:13 and got a BQ-5. I will definitely come back to do the Rockey City race again. Thanks for the training ideas you've posted on this blog. Those were a big help!

Thanks!
Tim from AtlantaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7737587279120391681.post-88496878344367904242011-12-18T06:25:47.150-06:002011-12-18T06:25:47.150-06:00WOW!!! To be that consistent over that many miles with such a difference between the first 15 and the last 11 in terms of WIND...nothing short of fantastic!! (and, I'm so glad to hear you say it was going to be tougher at mile 15...that was my experience, but I thought I was just making it up in my mind!!)Danahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07729198392505371070noreply@blogger.com
